Arnica Montana Christmas Newsletter - December 2004

Welcome to the latest newsletter from Arnica Montana!

A very happy Christmas to you all from Arnica Montana Pty Ltd, Australia , and Arnica Montana Ltd, UK!

Both companies are now busy with established links to one another and providing useful information, services, and goods, on both sides of the globe. With a few hiccups due to internet saturation at times, making access to the website and email to us tricky occasionally - communication on the whole is pretty good. Website usage is growing, this month receiving over 20,000 hits from almost 600 unique visitors.

E-zine launched!

e-zineThe big news this month is that we are launching a subscription e-zine from the website called "Arnica Montana Online." This is a bi monthly publication downloadable from the website, and contains approximately 30 pages of solid information about Homeopathy and in depth case work from my 20 years in practice and teaching. All cases are real, with names altered to protect the privacy of the individuals concerned. All these patients have given their informed consent, and without exception are delighted to contribute any knowledge which might help others. The cost is US$115 (approx AUD$150 or GBP£60) annually can be paid using the credit card facility on the website. Click here to read more about the e-zine.

Export update

Arnica Montana P/L is now registered with Austrade internationally, the government export department for Australia, and I am constantly in negotiation with other countries for the Arnica Montana range of Arnica Calendula and Sage products.

These have now established a loyal following with repeat orders in Australia and the UK. Czechoslovakia and the Middle East are now coming on board both countries delighted to have access to such effective pure products with no chemicals or additives.

Our latest venture is to produce a mouthwash concentrate made from Essential oils and other ingredients including of course Arnica, This mouthwash is being produced because my dentist in Perth has asked us to. He is an Indian with other trainings including Homeopathy, Ayurvedic Medicine, and Acupuncture and is very keen to help our patients prevent tooth and gum decay, which currently create severe dental problems. We are pleased to say that a prototype is already being tested - again by volunteers locally - with initial results very encouraging. We will be launching this product in the New Year and are confident that it will be very well used and appreciated.

Australian made Homeopathic products

australian made homeopthic productsEven more exciting is the arrival of the Australian Made Kangaroo triangle trademark which we are now entitled to use in our advertising and labelling. We are listed in the new brochure for Australian Made goods distributed Australia and New Zealand wide and also internationally. Any recognised "Australian made" product must be at least 55% Australian sourced and 100% manufactured in Australia. I am proud to say that our products are at least 80% Australian sourced from reliable environmentally sound suppliers, and are actually manufactured by hand here in Fremantle.

The trademarks for the 2 swans logo - 1 black 1 white as seen on the website, representing Western Australia and the UK, and the sage logo I have had as a Homeopath for over 20 years, are due to be finally approved in February 2005. They were lodged some time ago, but there has to be a wait of several months in case anyone is going to challenge them before they can officially belong exclusively to Arnica Montana P/L. So far there have been no challenges.

Kate's sure-fire turkey recipe

When I found this recipe, I thought it was perfect for people, like me, who just are not sure how to tell when poultry is thoroughly cooked, but not dried out. Give this a try.

12-16 lb. turkey
1 cup melted butter
1 cup stuffing (Pepperidge Farm is good.)
1 cup uncooked popcorn
Salt/pepper to taste

Preheat oven to 180 degrees. Brush turkey well with melted butter, salt, and pepper. Fill cavity with stuffing and popcorn. Place in baking pan with the neck end toward the back of the oven. Listen for the popping sounds. When the turkey's ass blows the oven door open and the turkey flies across the room, it is done.

And you thought I couldn't cook!

With very best wishes to you all
