The prosecution has had its day and the defence is about to begin. Thursday, March 27th 2008 sees the re-opening of the UK General Medical Council hearing in which Drs Wakefield, Murch and Walker-Smith will present their evidence to the GMC panel.
To date, those responsible for the contrived allegations against Dr Wakefield and his ex colleagues have had free reign whilst the defendants have been silenced by the legal process. The children at the centre of one of the biggest cover-ups in the history of medicine have been hidden, their parents have been silenced and supporting professionals have had their careers threatened if they dare to speak out.
A decade ago, Françoise Joët, a French teacher of Spanish who ran ALIS (Association Liberté et Information Santé - Health Freedom and Information Association) and Dr. Xavier Uriate, a Spanish naturopath, created a group whose purpose was to do research on just this, i.e. what Joe Public felt he had experienced in the way of side effects from vaccinations. They contacted similar associations and individuals in various EU countries, put together a questionnaire which was distributed to vaccine damaged individuals through homeopaths and groups like JABS, VAN and The Informed Parent. The research was conducted over a number of years and in six different EU countries. The group met each year in July in France, over a weekend, and continued working on the project throughout the year. They eventually came up with the name European Forun for Vaccine Vigilance (EFVV), completed the research, analysed it and prepared a report (available on CD for £10 from Lesley King MARH) which was then submitted in six languages to the European Parliament.in late 2005. A press conference was held in Brussels to coincide with presentation of the report, but sadly, it was poorly attended.

The Olympics are fast approaching and in order to promote interest in Homeopathy I recently exhibited in China in December. I also gave a workshop in Mandarin with the help of an interpreter.This was well received by the Chinese audience both business people as well as the general public with many questions asked.They were particulatly impressed with the idea that it was easy to self medicate with the aid of a Homeopathic kit.
Sonja Johnson a WA horse eventer, is a member of the Australian Equestrian team, and already preparing for the Beijing Olympics.

Over the past 4 years Kate Diamantopoulo of Arnica Montana has provided me with unlimited access to her expertise and products to assist me as I represent Australia internationally in the equestrian sport of Eventing.
Equestrian is the only Olympic sport where men and women compete on an equal footing. It is also the only Olympic sport which involves a living partner other than a fellow human. Hence for a women to be at the top of the field they must keep their body in tip top form and also their equine partner. Kate with her advice and products has been most helpful in this.
Over the 4 years Kate has provided a CD on the remedies and how to use them. A most invaluable First Aid kit (Helios Accident and Emergency kit) full of remedies that I use on the horses and humans (and keep on having to get Kate to top up). A number of tailor made remedies for specific conditions such as injured knees, ankles etc. Kate also does the most wonderful soap and bath soak. It only has one problem - my mum and dad like it so much it keeps running out!
In this four year period I have competed for Australia at the following Eventing competitions:

WA College of Homeopathy
To furthur and consolidate Kate's visions Arnica Montana has Inaugurated
The West Australian College of Homeopathy. The aim of the College is to spread the knowledge of Homeopathy to the community through grass roots. The College is running seminars in conjuntion with the Australian Red Cross - see Seminars
Childrens Special Needs Teaching Clinic
A new initiative from the WA College of Homeopathy is the introduction of a Children's Special Needs teaching Clinic. Education of the public and students of any discipline in medicine needs to contribute to the health of our children.
Today, especially in WA, too many children are disadvantaged on all levels. These children are our future generations and desperately need help. Although statutory organisations are doing their best, many children are on too much medication and are not responding well enough to treatment. Homeopathy has much to offer these children and their overstretched families. see Seminars for furthur information.

These two-day seminars are run in conjunction with the Australian Red Cross and you will receive the Senior First Aid Certificate. This is accredited, valid for three years and meets the requirements of employers, federal and state government departments and statutory authorities. A Life Saved in the Air !
On a recent trip to the UK on Emirates flight EK 421 from Perth to Dubai on 16th September 2006, an announcement was made asking for a registered nurse or doctor to make themselves known to the chief steward. A strongly built white South African man had collapsed in the aisle and needed assistance.
He aready had an oxygen mask on, and a pulse monitor showed his pulse was 68 beats per minute. However he had been unconscious for 20 minutes and was not coming round. After gaining permission form his terrified wife and giving her Arnica and Aconite for the shock and trauma-Kate then gave her husband Arnica Carbo Veg and Camphor from her Helios (UK) Acccidents and Emergencies kit and Traveller's kit. The pillules were placed between the lower teeth and lower lip.
The patient moved spontaneously after the first dose and after the second (given a few minutes later) the man sat up, demanded to know what was going on, got up and sat back in his seat. Kate was asked for her contact details by the chief steward who was amazed by the passenger's swift recovery. In 8 years of being a chief steward for Emirates he had "never seen anything like it"In fact the crew was wondering what to do as there was no space anywhere on board to put the patient. Every seat was taken in First Class Business Class and Economy. A registered nurse who also came to assist and witnessed the recovery, was also astonished by what she saw. Both she and the chief steward took the opportunty to learn something about the healing power of Homeopathy from Kate.

Josephine Butler, now 18 years of age, represented Australia this month and achieved a Silver Medal in the Keirin Race at the UCI Junior World Cycling Championships in Aguascalientes in Mexico! Josephine used her Arnica Massage Oil throughout the competition.

In order to maintain the required standard to be able to compete at Worlds
level in weightlifting I must be able to train at least 3 times per week for
2 hours each time.

Janelle Cuthbertson, our West Australian Junior National Tennis Champion sustains injuries in competition but thanks to Homeopathic treatment and use of the Arnica range of topical products, makes a swift recovery and is successfully back in competition with a higher rating.She is now ranked 260 in World Junior Tennis
June 2006: Great news for Janelle as well! She sustained stress fractures in both feet earlier in the year after competing in a 3-week tour of New Zealand. She had reached the quarterfinals and won the last tournament there. March April and May she recuperated and continued to train, healing fast with Arnica and other remedies from her Arnica Montana Accidents and Emergencies First Aid Kit. In June 2006 she has been selected to represent Australia going to Darwin for training. She played 2 national events and was runner up in both singles and won 2 doubles. She is on her way to New Caledonia Fiji and New Zealand again, then back to Darwin for 2 internationals. Her current world ranking is 502. Well-done Janelle!
August 2006: Since competing in the above events Janelle is now 268 in the world rankings– she is also 8th in Australia, which is a fantastic achievement! Unfortunately she has sustained another stress fracture in her foot so will be taking some time out to heal and recuperate. As she is almost 16 she can now move up to the women’s events and has until she is 18 to do this. I am sure she will be just as successful as an older player with this level of achievement as a junior player. Constitutional Homeopathy alongside orthodox medical treatment will help her heal quickly and set her up for the future with no side effects, and she will be returning to competitive tennis stronger than ever.

March 2007: Under 19 cyclist, Jo Butler, represented Western Australia again in February 2007 at the Australian Youth Olympic Festival where she achieved a Gold medal in the 500m Time Trial with a time of 36.798 seconds taking 0.353s off Anna Meares' previous best time of 37.151, set in 2001.
Two weeks later Jo competed at the Australian National Championships and again achieved a Gold medal for the 500m Time Trial, a Silver medal in the U19 Sprint and a Silver in the U19 Keiren.
Jo is an elite athlete with WAIS (Western Australian Institute of Sport) and following her performances at the National events Jo has been selected to attend the World Junior Cycling Championships on 4-12 August 2007, to be held in Aguascalientes in Mexico.
She is currently training in preparation for her events as a sprint track cyclist.
As 2007 grew to a close, we at Bumi Sehat had much to be grateful for. This year Yayasan (foundation) Bumi Sehat (Healthy Mother Earth) was chosen THE #1 not-for-profit organization in Bali, OUT of over 700. The selection process was rigorous and all aspects of our projects, from patient care, to computer courses for youth, to recycling were analyzed, our administration was checked and rechecked to see if our licenses are complete and current, our financial books were reviewed and we were found to be corruption free. I must admit to being very, very proud of our staff both in Aceh and in Bali. Also, I feel full of gratitude for the donors, who make every aspect of our work possible.
